Type of Run: 15 min warm up
-focal point 5x100m strides
-pace setting 4x200m
-constant pace 6x1000m
10 min cool down
Description: Warmed up for 10 mins out past Vanderburg then up hill to Mannheim to SCB over bridge to Esopus hall I ran just shy of 15mins to stretch extra. First stride was for fast turn over focus, second was lean, 3rd was (unknown) 4th was arm drive movement, 5th was all at the same time. Then pace making 200s. Then 6x1000m the first 2 I was able to keep Greg's pace. 41 secs for each 200. The third one fell back. 4th I ran with Alex Tim and nick. 5th i followed Alex Tim and nick. 6th I ran in front of Alex and Tim. Then did 200 backwards. After that started cool down. ran be hide esopus, through back parking lot met Alex. ran by pond behind gage then to the side of elting and stretched under the trees. Then went in ice bath for 6 mins.
Addition notes: I didn't eat lunch and barely hydrated. I wasn't able to get my heart rate up high enough. My legs felt like bricks. I learned that if you don't have fuel you can't get heart rate high enough to supply oxygen to muscle so they turn to anaerobic fuel production. hence the shitty feeling and the inabilty to preform up to par.
Result: Confidence was lowered slightly. But, I got a soild 1000m workout. I wasn't consistant because I couldn't anticipate how my legs would take the workout. I did my best with the lower heart rate. And I got in the ice bath.
