Type of run: E run. slow to moderate recovery pace
Time: 49:49
Description: Greg wanted each one of us to focus on our form but more specifically at focal points. I worked on blending everything and really focusing on feeling the proper amount of lean. I focused on turnover and arm swing. Over all going from the gym felt alright. I felt a little bruised / sore pain in my shins ( i think my shoes are dead). But we ran down to the rail trail. Someone cleared all the bushes out of the entrance to the rail trail this past week end. They put some hay down as well. We all ran west. The weather was gorgeous. A very nice temperature. dry and windy. But today was an easy day so i didn't mind the wind much. We went down to the rivers meandering plain. for the first time since the big flood. It was filled with tons of sticks and logs. But it was mostly very muddy. As we ran west nick got away from most of the group. Tim and I ran together and rob fell back. Alex was injured and in the pool missing out on a beautiful day. Tim and I turned around at 25 mins. Nick caught up to us I stayed with him all the way back. We were not going fast but a more moderate pace. We ran all the way back to the new weedless entrance to the rail trail. then headed up pencil hill. And to our surprise Tim found us up there. He climbed up the cliff. Nick and I were struck in awe with how fast he actually caught us by climbing up the cliff. We kept going and continued up the hill on the outside of the elting loop. Nick And I had lost Tim on the hill and stretched in the front. Rob had made it around the loop and met up with Tim and stretched buy the coaches entrance to the gym.
Additional notes: My body felt better than the last time I ran on Thursday. My shins were feeling some pain. My lower back feels sore. My calves still feel like they were pumping battery acid in my veins. It wasn't as painful to lift my heels but it was still their. I wonder if it has anything to do with high blood pressure. The nurses told me that I had high blood pressure the last time I saw them. I wish I could get it checked out again. Maybe I should ask the trainers.
Result: I got away from doing lots of school work and got to enjoy running outside. I was a joy. My legs got some extra miles today.
